These dancers range in age from 7 years old to 10 years old. The Mavericks come one to two days a week for classes in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop and Acrobatics. The team travels to three competitions each year and competes with routines in Jazz, Tap and Hip Hop. They perform at local community functions and most dancers on the team have been with the Academy between two and four years. Dancers in this team do not have to complete an audition.
